WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

As a Senior Sales Operations Analyst in Finance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing the financial aspects of the sales operations function. This position involves analyzing sales data, collaborating with sales teams, and providing financial insights to drive strategic decision-making within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Analyze sales data, including revenue, margins, and sales performance metrics, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis to support sales strategies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.
  • Evaluate sales compensation plans to ensure alignment with company objectives and financial targets.
  • Provide recommendations for modifications or improvements to compensation structures.
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition practices in collaboration with finance and accounting teams.
  • Monitor and report on revenue recognition compliance.
  • Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports for sales leadership.
  • Present financial findings and insights to key stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Work closely with finance, sales, and other relevant teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Provide financial guidance to support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within sales operations, particularly in relation to financial efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement changes to enhance financial processes.
  • Assess financial risks associated with sales operations and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Support sales planning initiatives by providing financial insights and contributing to the development of sales strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales teams on financial processes and tools.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes financial literacy within the sales organization.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.
  • Understanding of sales operations processes, sales cycles, and revenue streams.
  • Experience in financial forecasting and budgeting, particularly within a sales context.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey financial insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data management and analysis tools, such as Excel, CRM systems, and financial software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across various departments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address financial challenges and provide strategic solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in financial data accuracy and compliance.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in priorities and business requirements.
  • Leadership qualities to guide and influence financial decisions within the sales operations function.
