Senior Tax Analyst – Miami, FL

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Senior Tax Analyst should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be focused, energetic with an ability to deliver results under tight deadlines. The successful candidate is expected to develop relationships with all levels of staff within the Finance Department and will have lots of exposure to the Vice President, Tax.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare or review federal, state and local income & franchise tax returns, estimated payments and extensions (or support preparation by external consultants).
- Prepare or review annual and quarterly income tax provisions.
- Coordinate, monitor, and review of international compliance.
- Support indirect and non-income tax filings to include sales and use, VAT, GST, business license and property tax returns.
- Analyze and reconcile data to support tax compliance.
- Prepare or review workpapers for various tax calculations, and support accruals and reconciliations for various tax accounts.
- Collect and maintain documentation or data necessary for tax audits.
- Investigate tax notices and prepare response letters.
- Fulfill internal and external tax-related requests.
- Maintain and organize tax documents and calendars to ensure compliance with tax authorities and other regulatory agencies.
- Conduct tax research using Bloomberg Tax or Checkpoint software.
- Other projects/assignments, as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and multiple-task prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Experience with NetSuite and tax software (Onesource, Avalara).
- Focused, motivated self-starter.
- 5+ years corporate income tax experience.
- Must be deadline-driven team player.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the Tax Team
