We are seeking a motivated Procurement Manager I to support sourcing, supplier management, and contracting activities across indirect spend categories: Legal, Brand Merchandise & Promotional Products, Operational Supplies, and Tech. In this role, you will execute sourcing events, manage supplier interactions, and support day-to-day procurement operations for purchases while ensuring efficient execution and compliance with procurement processes. You will help maintain supplier performance, identify cost savings opportunities through data analysis and benchmarking, and partner with cross-functional teams and Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and sourcing decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and operate within established procurement frameworks.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute sub-category sourcing strategies, supporting a pipeline of contracts and renewals for small to medium size purchases.
Lead and/or support sourcing activities for small to medium scale deals, including RFx execution, supplier evaluation, and award recommendations.
Support negotiation and execution of contracts for small to medium engagements, including pricing, terms, and service levels, in partnership with senior team members as needed.
Conduct market research, benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify cost savings opportunities and support sourcing decisions.
Build and maintain basic pricing models and cost comparisons using templates and standard tools to support fact-based negotiations.
Partner with Finance to provide inputs into budgeting and forecasting, aligning on cost drivers, pricing changes, and negotiation strategies.
Interact with suppliers to request quotes, confirm lead times, and manage day-to-day procurement activities, escalating risks or issues as appropriate.
Manage transactional supplier relationships for assigned categories, monitoring performance, pricing changes, and supply risks.
Support supplier performance management, including contributing to light-touch business reviews and tracking basic service level metrics.
Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing routine updates and supporting procurement execution across the sourcing lifecycle.
Translate basic data and analysis into clear insights to support decision-making and sourcing recommendations.
Apply procurement processes and tools consistently, exercising judgment within defined guidelines and escalating when needed.
Travel domestically as needed.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of 2 years procurement experience and knowledge of procurement methodologies, tools, and practices.
Foundational understanding of procurement or sourcing processes, with exposure to RFx events, supplier interactions, or contract basics.
Ability to support negotiations and supplier discussions for small to medium purchases, with guidance as needed.
Demonstrate expertise in negotiating technology deals (software, hardware, SaaS, etc…).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data, perform basic comparisons, and identify pricing or cost trends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools; comfortable working with spreadsheets, templates, and data sets.
Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Willingness to learn procurement practices, supplier management, and contract fundamentals in a fast-paced environment.
BA/BS required; focus in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
Bonus:
Experience in the supply chain or procurement industry.
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
Understanding of sourcing processes, supplier lifecycle management, and category strategy.
Comfort working in a pet-friendly environment.
The base salary range for this role is $91,500 - $146,000.00.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
