Our Opportunity
Chewy is seeking a Senior HR Specialist to join our team in Plantation, FL. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle and serve as a trusted resource for our Team Members. We are looking for an HR professional with strong subject matter expertise and a thoughtful, solution-driven approach to improving the employee experience, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment!


What You’ll Do

  • Act as a main point of contact for Team Member inquiries, resolving questions via inbound/outbound calls, ServiceNow tickets, and other channels by applying HR knowledge and research

  • Provide Tier 1 support across core HR service areas, including benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and accommodations

  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures

  • Identify key moments in the Team Member experience and partner with leaders to deliver positive and memorable experiences

  • Offer feedback and recommendations to improve HR services, programs, and procedures

  • Build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and other reference materials to support HR operations

  • Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and documentation

  • Support HR projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned


What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of HR experience (HR Generalist experience in a service delivery or operations environment highly preferred)

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred)

  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, Kronos, or Greenhouse (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

  • Clear verbal and written expression along with attentive listening

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting

  • Customer service approach, with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Flexibility to adjust your work schedule based on business needs

  • Demonstrable ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
