At Chewy, we are makers and doers who thrive on driving results. This role offers the opportunity to operate at the center of one of Chewy’s largest and most impactful businesses, with high visibility and the ability to shape how we plan, measure, and manage performance at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end planning processes for Consumables (Dog and Cat), including budget, forecast, and long-range planning cycles.

  • Lead intraperiod forecasting, including risk and opportunity identification, tracking, and clear communication to leadership.

  • Run the Consumables Weekly Business Review (WBR), delivering concise, data-driven insights on performance, key drivers, and actions.

  • Develop and maintain consolidated Consumables-level reporting, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and a single source of truth.

  • Partner with category finance and cross-functional teams to synthesize performance insights and align on business drivers.

  • Provide variance analysis across actuals, plan, and forecast, with clear explanations of underlying drivers and trends.

  • Deliver ad hoc and deep-dive analyses across Consumables to support strategic and operational decision-making.

  • Build and enhance financial models to support planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.

  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and process efficiency through simplification and automation.

  • Support month-end close processes, including reconciliation and variance analysis in partnership with Accounting.

  • Manage and develop one direct report, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for accuracy and clarity.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (FP&A, Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, or similar).

  • Prior people management experience or demonstrated ability to lead and develop others.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L mechanics, and forecasting processes.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience working with large datasets.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to connect drivers to outcomes.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience with SQL or other data querying tools preferred.

  • Experience with FP&A systems (e.g., Hyperion) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial insights.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.

  • High ownership mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Get

  • A place where you can be your authentic self and grow your career. Our pet parents and partners come from everywhere — and so do our Chewtopians.

  • A high-impact role with visibility into one of Chewy’s largest and most dynamic businesses, where your work directly influences strategy and results.

  • The opportunity to partner with talented, cross-functional teams and leaders to solve complex problems and drive meaningful outcomes.

  • A culture that values ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement, where you are empowered to think big and deliver results.

  • Support for your development through mentorship, feedback, and opportunities to grow your leadership and technical skills.

  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and wellness programs to support you inside and outside of work.
