Our Opportunity
Chewy is looking for a Sr. Creative Strategist to join our Creative Team. In this role, you will serve as a high-impact individual contributor on the creative strategy team, translating brand and business goals into compelling, data-informed creative campaign strategies. You will drive strategic thinking, own major initiatives or client-facing projects, and act as a bridge between the C-level creative lead and more junior strategists.
What You'll Do
- Lead development of creative strategies, campaigns, and content plans across channels such as digital, social, video, and experiential.
- Analyze market data, consumer insights, and performance metrics to shape and iterate brief development, creative strategies, and creative concepts.
- Support marketing partners to build strong creative briefs and strategic documentation that guide creative teams and stakeholders.
- Present strategic proposals and campaign concepts to internal stakeholders or clients, summarizing rationale and expected outcomes to gain alignment.
- Lead cross-functional kickoff meetings for creative campaigns.
- Ensure media and marketing alignment for campaign creative strategy.
- Ensure creative campaigns deliver on brief from strategy and concept through delivery, aligning with business objectives, brand voice, and timelines.
- Mentor and guide junior strategists, offering feedback, direction, and support.
- Stay current on industry and media trends, competitive landscape, and emerging channels, using that knowledge to inform creative strategy and innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, analytics, design, and other teams to ensure cohesive, high-quality output.
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand strategy, content strategy, or similar roles, either agency or in-house.
- Strong creative thinking and conceptualization skills, with the ability to generate high-impact ideas grounded in business and user insights.
- Solid analytical skills, including comfort working with data, interpreting performance metrics, and using insights to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build compelling decks and present to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-channel campaigns with multiple stakeholders, delivering on time and meeting objectives.
- Experience managing senior stakeholder and creative leadership feedback, resolving conflicts, and guiding teams on how to respond.
- Ability to manage creative leadership review cycles and feedback processes.
- Ability to lead projects end to end and mentor junior team members.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
