Chewy is on a mission to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and partners everywhere. Our Chewy Vet Care (CVC) team is building world-class veterinary practices to help drive successful project execution across our growing pipeline.

You will be a Pre-Construction Program Manager – Chewy Vet Care in our Plantation, FL office. In this role, you will support the execution of the CVC Practice Development pipeline by ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, vendors, and financial tracking during the preconstruction phase. Your work will directly impact the timely and efficient delivery of new veterinary practices by maintaining strong coordination across cross-functional teams including Real Estate, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Finance.

You will play a critical role in managing preconstruction workflows, supporting vendor coordination, maintaining documentation accuracy, and ensuring projects are set up for successful execution.

What You’ll Do:

Pre-Construction Execution & Pipeline Alignment

  • Support the entire coordination of the preconstruction phase, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, and deliverables

  • Monitor and maintain CVC pipeline schedule alignment, identifying risks, dependencies, and gaps that may impact timelines

  • Proactively surface risks and partner with cross functional work partners to drive timely resolution

RFP & Vendor Coordination

  • Support the RFP process, including vendor outreach, bid coordination, and leveling support

  • Maintain vendor relationships, tracking performance and advancing issues as needed in partnership with the Senior Buyer

  • Ensure vendors meet submission timelines and deliverables

Submittals & Documentation Management

  • Track and manage preconstruction submittals, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines

  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation across systems (Procore, Smartsheet)

  • Identify gaps in documentation and coordinate with cross functional work partners to resolve

Purchasing & Financial Support

  • Ensure purchasing aligns with approved scope and documented changes

  • Assist in CAPEX budget tracking and documentation

  • Support accuracy and consistency of financial records

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-through

  • Partner with Real Estate, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Finance teams

  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and dependencies

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Support continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and reporting

  • Contribute to scalable processes and documentation standards

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of experience in program management, construction, preconstruction, or related field

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors

  • Ability to manage workflows, documentation, and timelines

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Smartsheet, Procore, or similar tools

  • Basic understanding of budgeting and financial tracking

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting or accomplishing program rollouts or large-scale initiatives

  • Experience in construction for healthcare, retail, or multi-site environments

  • Familiarity with Bill of material tracking and preconstruction workflows

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid Model: 3-4 days in hub location per week
