Our Opportunity
Chewy is seeking a Senior HR Specialist to join our team in Plantation, FL. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the full employee lifecycle and serving as a trusted resource for our Team Members. We are looking for an HR professional with strong subject matter expertise and a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to improving the employee experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Act as a main point of contact for Team Member inquiries—resolving questions via inbound/outbound calls, ServiceNow tickets, and other channels by applying HR knowledge and research
Provide Tier 1 support across core HR service areas, including benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and accommodations
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures
Identify key moments in the employee lifecycle and partner with leaders to deliver positive and memorable experiences
Offer feedback and recommendations to improve HR services, programs, and procedures
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and other reference materials to support HR operations
Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and documentation
Support HR projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred)
SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred)
1–3+ years of HR experience (HR Generalist experience in a service delivery or operations environment highly preferred)
Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, Kronos, or Greenhouse (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening
Highly organized, with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Customer service attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement
Flexibility to adjust your work schedule based on business needs
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
