Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing Healthcare Services Commercial Finance team! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements, and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy Healthcare growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do:
Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting, analyses, and recommendations, and/or conclusions to leadership
Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business, and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
Develop scalable financial dashboards to support our Healthcare Services businesses.
Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, Chewy Vet Care Operations and Medical team, the Healthcare Merchandising team, Product team, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations
Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes
Lead all aspects of the monthly close process, ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures
Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance
Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment
What You'll Need:
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics
3+ years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and a grasp of financial statements
Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint skills
Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau (including Tableau Dashboard creation), Oracle ERP
Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines
Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
Strong written and oral communication skills
