Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a highly motivated, strategic, and confident Finance Manager – Supply Chain Finance to join our Logistics Finance Team in our Plantation, FL headquarters! This role serves as a key finance business partner to Transportation and Supply Chain leaders, translating business strategy into financial and operational plans. The Finance Manager will combine deep financial acumen, a strong understanding of financial statements, and advanced data-driven insights to influence decision-making and drive business outcomes.
This role requires a self-directed leader who thrives in ambiguity, operates with significant autonomy, and owns financial planning, reporting, controllership, and strategic analysis for transportation. The Finance Manager will lead forecasting and long-term planning processes, continuously evolve financial models, and ensure financial objectives are achieved through rigorous analysis, governance, and cross-functional partnership. This individual will advise senior stakeholders and play a critical role in driving growth, efficiency, and financial discipline across the supply chain organization.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and prioritize multiple complex workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Own weekly and monthly financial reporting for transportation, defining and refining key metrics and performance indicators to assess business performance.
Lead all aspects of the month-end close process for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and tracking performance against KPIs.
Partner closely with Transportation and Supply Chain leaders to lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
Translate business plans and operational strategies into financial assumptions, forecasts, and targets; explain variances to plan and identify risks and opportunities.
Provide strategic financial analysis and advisement to influence business partners and finance leadership, driving informed decisions and positive business outcomes.
Own and continuously improve the auditing process to ensure billing accuracy, financial integrity, and effective controls.
Oversee the accuracy and governance of financial data sources and SQL tables, ensuring inputs, assumptions, and outputs remain reliable and scalable.
Lead advanced data extraction and analysis using Hyperion, SQL, Tableau, and other tools to generate insights for senior decision-makers.
Challenge existing processes, models, and reporting to improve efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and analyses to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
What You’ll Need:
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Advanced SQL skills with the ability to oversee and validate complex datasets
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis expertise
6–8+ years of progressive finance experience with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into financial plans and recommendations
Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with minimal direction
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP/Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
Strong ownership mindset with experience leading initiatives from concept through execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear, concise messaging
Ability to balance attention to detail with strategic, big-picture thinking
Results-oriented, hands-on leader with strong business acumen
Bonus:
Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, or logistics finance
Experience with Tableau, Hyperion SmartView, and Oracle ERP
Familiarity with e-commerce or retail business models
