Join Vultr

The Engineering team is a central pillar of our growth strategy, and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Network Products to help drive our long-term networking product strategy for our cloud-based offerings.

You’ll have ownership over some of our consumer network products and help evolve our network product infrastructure. Our team’s mission is to provide a fast, performant, and stable virtualization experience for our customers, and we believe that open source solutions can help democratize the cloud.

What to expect:

  • Developing and maintaining consumer network products
  • Work directly with our Provisioning subteam within Customer Platform to build out new virtualization products and harden existing ones
  • Work with our Site Reliability Engineers within the Internal Platform Team to improve network product observability within the control plane

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with PHP or Python
  • Strong Linux Networking experience and Virtualize Networking, e.g. packets, iptables, nftables, ebtables, nfv, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 networking concepts
  • Basic understanding of Linux routing-stack tools, e.g. FRR or Quagga
  • A strong belief in documentation as a core aspect of engineering
  • Experience with test-driven development is highly preferred
  • Experience with Windows networking is a plus
  • Experience with creating data collection or automation tooling for the network layer is a plus


$120,000 - $135,000

This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
