We are looking for a Senior Data Center Project Manager with technical and business effectiveness, trusted leadership and demonstrated large-scale program management success. You should have industry knowledge, technical depth in the execution and delivery of Data Centers and have the ability to lead complex and time sensitive initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of build-out programs in leased data centers, from initiation through execution, enhancing business value across various program delivery dimensions.
- Apply project and program management expertise along with a strong technical acumen in mechanical/electrical systems, structures, and networking infrastructure to facilitate the successful delivery of data centers.
- Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents (e.g., internally with product, engineering, sales and executive leadership, as well as externally with customers contacts).
- Design and implement reporting that produces actionable insights in partnership with the business, engineering, finance, operations, and systems teams.
- Drive business results through a regimented focus on such key performance indicators and business goals, promoting clarity and motivation to the project team to execute on time, under budget, all while delivering high quality results every time.
- Apply world-class technical experience and expertise to improve processes and respond to challenges in data center delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years of experience as a project, program, or engineering manager in an IaaS / Cloud Infrastructure company.
- Excellent technical project management experience and skills, including proficiency in project planning, resource management, risk assessment, experience managing scope, schedule and communications.
- Strong understanding of data center technologies, including networking, storage, and server hardware.
- Experience managing large scale network infrastructure projects. Must have datacenter experience, specifically, data center build outs.
- Experience developing data center floor plans for deploying infrastructure.
- Knowledge of key functional areas of engineering, procurement, construction, mechanical, electrical, networking, and building automation systems.
- Experience driving execution with cloud engineering groups.
- Experience with deploying and optimizing large-scale GPU clusters and high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Familiar with NCCL and InfiniBand networking
- Experience with Jira or comparable project management software
- Exceptional project management, process management, attention to detail, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Understanding of business and financial objectives, and plans accordingly.
- Understanding of contract language.
- Adept at working with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
Compensation
$120 -150K + Bonus
This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
