Vultr is seeking a Manager, People Operations to play a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, scaling our people programs, and serving as a trusted strategic partner to the business. This is a high-impact role for someone who brings both an enterprise mindset and a genuine passion for supporting people.

You’ll partner closely with leaders across the organization to enhance team performance, guide critical employee lifecycle decisions, and build scalable, data-driven processes that support Vultr’s continued growth. The ideal candidate is analytical yet high EQ, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re a strong communicator who can influence at all levels, translate data into meaningful insights, and design thoughtful, efficient solutions that elevate both the employee experience and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership & Strategy

    • Act as a strategic People Operations partner to assigned departments, aligning HR initiatives with business goals

    • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, employee development, and performance management

    • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including coaching managers through complex situations and conflict resolution

    • Analyze People data and trends to provide actionable insights and influence decision-making

  • People Programs & Culture

    • Lead and support talent management initiatives, including performance management, employee development, and succession planning

    • Measure employee engagement and organizational health, and develop targeted action plans to address opportunities

    • Partner with leadership to strengthen a cohesive and engaging remote culture

    • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies and ensure a strong candidate and onboarding experience

  • Payroll, Benefits & Leave

    • Oversee bi-weekly payroll operations and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

    • Support and co-manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee communications

    • Manage and support leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and applicable state and local regulations

  • Systems & Process Optimization

    • Design, implement, and continuously improve People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle

    • Manage and optimize the HR technology stack (HRIS, payroll, benefits systems), recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity

    • Partner cross-functionally to streamline workflows and support operational scalability

  • Compliance & Data Integrity

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all operating locations

    • Maintain accurate employee data and support reporting, audits, and compliance activities

    • Monitor regulatory changes, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate actions

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR Business Partnering, or a related role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP a plus)

  • Demonstrated experience supporting core HR functions, including performance management, employee relations, payroll, and benefits

  • Experience managing HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits platforms) and improving processes

  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations

  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership

  • High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred

Compensation

$100,000 - $125,000

This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
