As a Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful execution of the organization's strategic initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Mission Control, you will ensure that objectives and key results (OKRs) are clearly defined, tracked, and achieved. In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional efforts, streamline project management processes, and provide support to SynthBee team members to meet deliverables and organizational goals.
This position is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to foster collaboration in a dynamic environment. By aligning resources, managing priorities, and ensuring clear communication, you will enable teams to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.
Role Responsibilities:
- Program and Project Management: Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of engineering programs to align with departmental and organizational OKRs. Develop and maintain program schedules, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and deliverables. Coordinate dependencies across teams and resolve potential conflicts to maintain alignment with priorities.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between the VP of Mission Control and other departments to align objectives and resources. Facilitate clear communication of project goals, timelines, and expectations to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and present status updates, reports, and dashboards to the leadership team.
- Team Support and Enablement: Partner with VP to build and maintain team culture aligned to the SynthBee Beekeepers Guide. Support unit-level team members by removing obstacles, streamlining workflows, and providing guidance to achieve individual and team goals. Assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure teams are equipped to meet project demands. Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across team members to enhance productivity and innovation.
- OKR and Deliverable Tracking: Collaborate with the VP to establish OKRs for departments, ensuring they are actionable, measurable, and aligned with Mission Control. Track progress against OKRs and deliverables, identifying risks and proposing mitigations when necessary. Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize program performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Process Optimization: Drive the implementation of best practices in project and program management, ensuring consistency and efficiency across departments. Evaluate and refine tools and methodologies to enhance program tracking, reporting, and team collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to program success and develop mitigation plans to address challenges proactively. Escalate critical issues to leadership with actionable recommendations for resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to align technical initiatives with broader organizational goals. Facilitate seamless collaboration between software engineering teams and other departments to ensure successful program execution.
