The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail oriented, data obsessed Cloud Financial Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, the Cloud Financial Analyst will focus on analyzing and communicating costs and tradeoffs with our client’s cloud usage. The successful candidate will be able to dive in and develop an understanding of CloudHesive’s client architectures and their related costs. Using industry standard tools, you will make recommendations for optimizations including potential architectural changes that would lead to better efficiencies and savings. Strong analytical skills paired with an obsession for gathering data to support decisions are key to being successful in this role.

What you’ll be doing:

Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs
Promote an environment of cost accountability and financial awareness across our customer base and internally
Detail cloud provider discount commitments e.g., Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, with the vital governance, processes, and tooling
Establish cloud optimization business process frameworks in support of our client’s needs.
Partner regularly with key client stakeholders on spend variance analysis and forecasting
Participate in the creation of cost optimization models
Partner with clients and internal teams to ensure cost improvement work items are well understood, scoped, and prioritized on the appropriate team’s backlog
Communicate your findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to clients and leadership
Develop cost management presentations for customer consumption and present findings to customers
Be a trusted advisor to your CloudHesive colleagues and to our clients

Is this role for you?

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years’ experience in consulting, financial analysis, financial planning or related field with strong client facing skills
Extensive Experience in Cloud Cost Management and outlining solutions in presentations to executives
Experience using tools such as CloudCheckr, CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Redshift, Athena, Quicksight, Tableau, and PowerBI
Knowledge of Public Cloud offerings and consumption models.
Experience with AWS billing and cost management tools and processes.
Knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and tools.
Data-driven approach, you believe the best decisions are made when they are backed by data.
Analytical ability – ability to quickly evaluate an issue, challenge or business need and document and communicate these effectively.
Effective communicator with the ability to drive consensus among partners.
Certifications from AWS highly desirable
Operate with a High Sense of Urgency
May require up to 25% travel (within the United States)
Attain and/or Retain relevant Certifications
Commit to continuous learning via reading technical documentation, participating in Webinars or other such events.
