What You’ll Do
- Lead and track the end-to-end transition of operations work away from an existing partner to a new partner.
- Own the transition timeline, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Establish and maintain clear governance for milestone tracking, operational acceptance, and transformation readiness.
- Ensure the new partner is aligned to an SLO-driven, outcome-based operational model.
- Validate that processes, staffing models, and tooling align to contractual expectations around:
- Incident rate reduction
- Production stability (“keep production quiet”)
- SLA/SLO attainment
- Right‑sized staffing and operating efficiency
- Validate that the new partner is equipped with modern ops tooling and practices (observability, on‑call, incident response).
- Ensure post-transition teams follow standardized processes for incident prevention, detection, and resolution.
- Strong SRE / Technical Operations / Reliability background with clear understanding of outcome‑based operations models.
- Hands-on experience managing partner/vendor transitions, ideally in a technical or operations-heavy environment.
- Expertise defining and measuring SLOs, SLAs, and operational readiness criteria.
- Working familiarity with modern operations tooling, such as observability platforms, incident management systems, and alerting frameworks.
- Experience coordinating work across engineering, vendor delivery teams, and operational leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive transformation milestones, track dependencies, and operate in high-ambiguity transition environments.
- Strong communication, risk management, and stakeholder‑alignment skills.
