Who You Are
Slalom is seeking a visionary leader to build, scale, and inspire our Enterprise Contact Center Modernization practice, with a strategic focus on Amazon Connect–led transformation. As Director and Practice Leader, you will define and drive the next generation of AI-powered, cloud-native customer engagement solutions across industries.
You will shape the future of service modernization by aligning business strategy, Amazon Connect capabilities, CRM platforms, and AI-driven innovation to deliver measurable customer and operational outcomes. This leader will serve as both a people-first practice builder and a market-facing executive advisor, helping organizations reimagine customer experience through scalable, data-driven service models.

Compensation And Benefits

What You’ll Do
Practice & People Leadership
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing Amazon Connect and Contact Center consulting team, fostering growth, inclusion, and technical depth.
- Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for Slalom’s Contact Center Modernization practice.
- Develop Amazon Connect–centered accelerators, frameworks, and delivery methodologies.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence across markets and global practices.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to C-suite and senior technology leaders on contact center transformation powered by Amazon Connect and adjacent technologies.
- Lead executive conversations around CCaaS modernization, automation, workforce engagement, and experience transformation.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic pursuits, AWS co-sell motions, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Expand Slalom’s market presence by developing trusted executive relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Oversee the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Amazon Connect transformations, integrated with other AWS tools.
- Lead cross-capability solutions spanning cloud telephony, AI/automation, analytics, WEM/WFO, and omnichannel engagement.
- Ensure solutions align to business objectives, KPIs, cost optimization, and ROI metrics.
- Provide executive sponsorship for major programs, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term value realization.
- Position Slalom as a recognized leader in Amazon Connect and contact center modernization.
- Develop thought leadership on AI-driven customer engagement, conversational automation, workforce optimization, and predictive analytics.
- Represent Slalom at AWS and industry events; contribute to market-facing content and strategic partnerships.
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging capabilities across Amazon Connect, generative AI, automation, and cloud-native architectures.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Contact Center Operations, Customer Experience, or Amazon connect consulting.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex contact center solutions, with extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, AWS services (e.g., Lex, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFormation), and related technologies.
- Deep expertise in Amazon Connect architecture, implementation, and enterprise transformation.
- Strong understanding of AWS ecosystem services (Lambda, Lex, Bedrock, analytics services, etc.) supporting contact center innovation.
- Experience integrating Amazon Connect with Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other enterprise CRM platforms.
- Proven track record building and leading high-performing teams.
- Executive presence with demonstrated experience influencing C-suite stakeholders.
- Success leading large-scale modernization initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and strategic storytelling skills.
- Preferred: AWS and/or Amazon Connect certifications.
- Experience in AI-enabled customer experience transformation (conversational AI, GenAI, automation).
- Background in workforce engagement, omnichannel strategy, and service operating model design.
- Experience in practice leadership, business growth, and AWS partner ecosystem collaboration.

- Director: $231,000-275,000
- San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester:
- Director: $228,000-265,000
- All other locations:
- Director: $219,000-258,000
