Who You’ll Work With

You’ll join Slalom’s Global Marketing team, leading industry marketing for our state and local government, nonprofit, and education businesses. You’ll collaborate closely with business and marketing leaders to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy, messaging, and campaigns that drive real business outcomes for our public and social sector customers.

Role Overview

Slalom Consulting is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Marketing Manager to join our Global Industry Marketing Team, supporting our Public & Social Impact (PSI) business. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, purpose-oriented marketer to define how Slalom shows up in the market to accelerate growth in our professional services business serving government, higher education and nonprofit organizations. This market is a space where our work truly makes a positive impact in our communities where we live, work and play.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive visibility, engagement, and pipeline across the PSI portfolio. You’ll bring experience marketing to state and local government, and higher education (SLED) and nonprofit organizations, and a passion for amplifying stories of impact. From thought leadership and content strategy to campaigns and key event activations, you’ll lead efforts that highlight the unique value Slalom brings to public and social sector clients.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders across marketing, sales, and industry to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned to business goals. You’ll also work cross-functionally with teams across regions and practices to build and amplify messaging that resonates with our clients and communities.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role that requires strategic thinking, strong program management skills, and the ability to drive results in a complex, cross-functional environment—along with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing public and social sector organizations today.

What You’ll Do

  • Public & Social Strategy Marketing Strategy: Develop and own a comprehensive 12-month marketing strategy for the PSI business in collaboration with global industry, marketing, and alliance leaders
  • Integrated Marketing Programs: Plan and execute integrated marketing programs that drive awareness, credibility, and pipeline—on time and within budget. Evaluate and prioritize incoming requests based on alignment to strategy, resourcing, and expected outcome
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with go-to-market, client, partner, and subject matter expert teams to create content, campaigns, and resources for both internal and external audiences that span state and local government, higher education and nonprofit audiences.
  • Channel & Partner Marketing: Collaborate with key public sector distributors, resellers and 3rd party partners (e.g., AWS, Carahsoft, e.Republic, StateScoop, Snowflake, Google, Microsoft) to build and execute joint marketing campaigns that drive demand and build pipeline in alignment with short and long-term business objectives.
  • Event Marketing: Manage and execute public sector-focused events and pre-event and post-event strategies to maximize engagement and ROI. Lead campaign development and event strategy to support shared business goals, including major industry conferences and partner activations
  • Demand generation and account-based marketing (ABM): Plan and execute demand generation campaigns tailored for the public sector
  • Public Sector and Social Impact Thought Leadership: Support and scale thought leadership efforts that reflect the voice of Slalom and our public and social sector clients, working with public and social sector experts and writers to develop content.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Leverage data and insights to track performance, refine tactics, and drive continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of B2G (Business-to-Government) marketing experience, including a strong track record marketing to state and local government. Experience in public affairs or media relations for federal, state or local government agencies will be considered in place of B2G marketing experience. Additionally, experience marketing to, nonprofit, and/or higher education organizations is also desired.
  • Familiarity with tailored marketing strategies and tactics that are effective in marketing to different types of government agencies, from public health and human services to public transportation, criminal justice and state or local government CIO audiences.
  • Familiarity with values-driven or mission-driven messaging approaches
  • Experience designing and executing partner-aligned campaigns, with a solid understanding of the technology ecosystem and major cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft, Google and Snowflake
  • Familiarity with public sector buyers, procurement cycles and government sales process, and promotion of government contract vehicles is desired.
  • Familiarity with how to apply marketing strategies and tactics in an environment that requires compliance with public sector procurement and ethics laws
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media
  • Strategic thinker with strong performance measurement, stakeholder alignment, and campaign optimization skills
  • Excellent communicator and trusted collaborator—able to influence across functions and levels
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with marketing tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, and/or other automation and CRM platforms
  • Curious, adaptable, and resilient—with a learner’s mindset and a passion for mission-driven work
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills that speak the language of our government, education and nonprofit customers
