Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Sr. Manager, Innovation Product for the Home Services team. In this role you will manage a small team that focuses on developing, piloting, and scaling a diverse portfolio of loss prevention and monitoring initiatives (e.g. IoT devices, loss mitigation products, etc.) to broaden the role SageSure plays in helping its policyholders increase their confidence and peace of mind in homeownership and avoid disruptive damage and unexpected costs. The ideal candidate will have experience managing innovative loss prevention programs and demonstrated product management success including customer research, development of go-to-market strategies, product performance tracking and data-driven iterative product enhancement.

What you’d be doing:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the Home Services team, guiding the strategic direction of your team and its loss monitoring and prevention programs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to implement initiatives and meet with executive leadership to gain strategic alignment and communicate progress updates.
  • Conduct background research analyses (e.g. using claims data) to identify key knowledge gaps and new opportunity areas for loss mitigation via Home Services programs.
  • Conduct third-party vendor evaluation studies to inform the selection of strategic external partnerships that support Home Services loss monitoring and prevention goals.
  • Manage experimentation with messaging, pilot testing, offering design, and incentives to maximize take-up and engagement for new programs.
  • Analyze a wide array of data streams (e.g., customer behavior data, smart sensor interaction data, etc.) for ongoing loss prevention programs and communicate key success metrics.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Masters degree or equivalent in engineering, behavioral science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience conducting innovative product development research and a thorough understanding of common statistical data analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to apply critical thinking across multiple disciplines with comfort.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a diverse group of stakeholder groups to operationalize product solutions.
  • Experience managing highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Prior experience managing IoT or other innovative loss prevention programs within a P&C insurance company or an industry-serving entity.
  • Prior experience piloting and launching innovative products or services working with software development teams.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or business analytics
