The Royal Caribbean Group, Private Destinations team has an exciting career opportunity for a Manager, Technical Private Destinations, reporting to the Director, Technical Private Destinations.
Position Overview
The Manager, Technical Private Destinations responsible for working closely with the Director of Technical & Asset Management to oversee and manage construction projects on the Private Destinations. The Manager will coordinate all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a strong background in construction management and both exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are strictly adhered to.
- Coordinate with onsite stakeholders to coordinate construction activities.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
- Provide leadership and direction to onsite construction teams, managing daily operations to ensure smooth project flow.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or delays, implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
- Conduct site visits, monitor construction progress, and ensure all work aligns with the project plans and specifications.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and other resources necessary for the project.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, reports, and records, and prepare weekly project reports.
- Ensure compliance of contractors using company accommodations.
- Monitor arrivals and departure request of all contractors onsite. PM will approve all arrivals to the project site.
- Colloborate with Director of Island Projects and Innovation throughout the project on various scopes and tasks.
Financial Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring project delivery meets financial targets.
- Adjust budget allocations as necessary to meet project objectives while maintaining financial constraints.
- Track and report on project costs regularly to stakeholders.
- Provide detailed breakdowns of project costs, including labor, materials, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in international or remote locations.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Blue Beam etc.).
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, with extended stays in the Bahamas as required.
Language Requirements
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with Guests, Team Members, Contractors, and Vendors.
- Ability to read and write English, to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from Guests, Managers, and Team Members.
Working Conditions
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. A high noise level is possible if you visit shipboard or offsite locations.

- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell.
- The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- All Destination Team Members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.
Work Environment:
- Destination outdoor environment where high temperature, precipitation, and humid temperatures are experienced.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to work outdoors in extremely humid and hot conditions for an extended period of time.
- This is a position where duties are exercised outdoors, walking in sand, and uneven surfaces.
