Position Summary / Job Purpose
The Sr. Analyst, Global Intelligence position is responsible for the collection, analysis, production, and dissemination of critical and time-sensitive information of relevance to the safety and security of company personnel and the organization’s global assets and operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative and is a self-starter who has strong critical thinking and analytic skills in the development of tailored intelligence products. The individual has an excitement for corporate security, analysis and problem-solving, and has a curious mindset. This position is key to establishing organizational situational awareness concerning emergent risks and reports to the Global Intelligence and Threat Analysis Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively monitor risk-related information relevant to existing or planned destinations, itineraries, and acquisitions, as well as corporate employees and physical assets. This includes tracking corporate travelers and communicating associated risks based on developing events at destinations of interest.
- Use analytic tools, methodologies and data systems to research, review, interpret, and assess risk-related information. This includes assisting with the consolidation, evaluation, analysis, and distribution of raw data and information from open sources, third-party provider subscriptions, private industry partners, and government/law enforcement sources to identify trends and patterns and to prepare detailed analyses in a timely fashion. Familiarity with social media analysis and data collection tools a plus.
- Identify and recommend strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Prepare briefs, reports, and advanced analytical products to include risk assessments for the use of organizational leadership, senior executives and other intelligence consumers in a manner that meets their specified requirements and informs their corporate decisions.
- Participates in counterterrorism [CT], Intelligence community (IC), law enforcement or industry working groups, committees, and other collaborative gatherings.
- Be available off hours and weekends to support shoreside or shipboard operations as needed.
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or directly related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven analytical experience with major law enforcement, intelligence, public service, or private sector maritime organization.
- Experience in providing expert analysis to executive leaders in support of the organization’s mission.
- Overseas work experience, travel, and professional network development is preferred.
- Experience in coordinating projects across multiple departments or in big teams is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in incident/situation management a plus.
- Expertise in all-source research; demonstrating resourcefulness, versatility, ingenuity and originality in the collection, synthesis, and integration of intelligence from multiple sources in reporting and correspondence. Experience conducting risk assessments preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in the utilization of personal computers within a Windows environment including e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and related printers and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of employees and management in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills to provide quality work with minimum direction.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, clients, guests and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to manage diverse projects concurrently within strict time constraints and work well independently.
- Strong grasp of regional affairs and corporate security concerns.
Work Environment
- While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a PC, communicate, listen, and assess information.
- The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations, and may lift, push, pull or move 10-15 pounds.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel.
- This position may require approximately 10% travel, both domestically and internationally.
