Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Analytics and Business Intelligence on the Hotel Operations – Newbuild and Modernization Team reporting to the Director, Strategic Planning and Programs.
This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida
Position Summary:
In this position, you would be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of digital transformation initiatives in newbuild programs. This position requires a deep understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and product management methodologies to deliver actionable insights, optimize operational efficiency, and drive data-informed decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the discovery, prototyping, testing, and development of digital platforms that support newbuild operations
- Own the product backlog, prioritizing high-value features through a data-driven approach
- Conduct design thinking workshops and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to define business objectives, identify solutions, and ensure seamless execution
- Act as the primary author of epics, user stories, and technical documentation in Jira and Confluence, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals
- Utilize value vs. effort analysis to drive backlog prioritization and roadmap development
- Develop, maintain, and scale business intelligence solutions, integrating Power BI, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks to enable data-driven decision-making
- Design, implement, and manage analytics models to provide key insights into newbuild planning, space utilization, and operational performance
- Partner with IT and data engineering teams to enhance data pipelines, automation workflows, and real-time analytics tools
- Drive hypothesis-driven experimentation to test product and operational strategies, refining based on measurable outcomes
- Manage a $5M+ project budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with business priorities and financial constraints
- Oversee cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders, to ensure successful product execution
- Lead UAT testing, facilitating end-to-end validation and stakeholder buy-in.
- Conduct regular stakeholder demos and presentations, acting as an information radiator for project progress and strategic impact
- Manage 3D & 4D content creation projects, including reverse engineering, ground-up modeling, and prototyping
- Prepare 3D data for product visualization, digital twin development, and tooling.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in 3D design, CAD, and virtual prototyping, ensuring best practices are implemented in newbuild projects
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other technical discipline required; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in product/project management, data analytics, or business intelligence in a large corporate setting
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), Lean Six Sigma PowerBI, SQL, SAS, R, Python, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Statistical Analysis required, 3DS Max, Maya, Zbrush, CAD, HAZWOPER, MAX, MEP a plus
- Project management and systems management knowledge required
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
