The Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Revenue Strategy Analyst reporting to the Manager of Revenue Strategy and Analytics.

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

As an Analyst for Revenue Strategy, this individual is responsible for supporting our commercial strategy and revenue initiatives by measuring promotional effectiveness and providing assistance in the execution of incremental revenue opportunities. This person will work across departments to help build consensus across promotion strategies, inventory utilization strategies, new deployment, and other revenue initiatives. The Analyst will have exposure to Senior Management and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Hotel Operations, Trade Support and Services, Reservations, and IT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for continuous analysis and reporting on promotional performance and the status of the business to Revenue Management and other teams.
  • Support internal commercial planning process to attack product and business needs.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to drive and improve revenue and present to Management.
  • Help build business cases to support long-term financial impact of growth initiatives.
  • Support implementation of growth initiatives by coordinating with all necessary stakeholders including, but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Trade Support and Services, Reservations, Hotel Operations, and Legal.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and refinement of all initiatives after implementation.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Determines strategies and executes decision making to drive at least $400M in annual revenues.
  • Responsible for execution of management of inventory supply in response to market demand to achieve forecasted revenue and maximize volume.
  • Establish and maintain pricing for each sailing, category, and passenger type in the assigned product portfolio.
  • Understand implications of currency changes and alter market specific pricing to optimize sourcing mix.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

To perform this position successfully, the individual should be a self-starter and be able to complete a project with little direction. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or ability required to satisfy this position:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master’s degree (MA) preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university required with focus in quantitative discipline preferred.
  • One to Three years of related experience in financial / business analysis or related field preferred.
  • Familiarization with revenue management concepts and tools preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of Revenue Management concepts and tools or basic economics.
  • Previous experience with Sales, Marketing, Analytics preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in implementing system enhancements and decision-making tools preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Toad, Oracle, SQL, PowerBI, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential.
  • Knowledge of reservations system and revenue management data preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data.
  • Ability to logically structure quantitative analyses of complex issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in global environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once
