The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Hotel Operations Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full Project Execution, Senior Associate reporting to the Director, Hotel Operations Newbuild & Revitalization

Position Summary

The Senior Associate position plays a pivotal role in owning and driving a broad range of initiatives within the Fleet Mod & Newbuild Hotel Operations team at Celebrity Cruises. This role encompasses Fleet Modernization, Newbuild, Post-Delivery/Dry Dock Scope, and Capital Projects under the leadership of the Director of Hotel Ops Newbuild & Revites.

The Associate will lead and oversee key processes from planning through post-execution, ensuring that each ship delivers a high-quality Celebrity Cruises Vacation Experience to achieve guest satisfaction, onboard revenue, and expense targets.

This position provides high exposure to senior stakeholders and requires strong ownership of projects, including decision-making responsibilities and direct interaction with various teams.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who leverages analysis, innovation, intuition, and collaboration to answer critical questions and optimize efficiencies that influence key decisions.

Strong project management, leadership, financial acumen, collaboration, and decision-making skills are critical for success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and own well-curated PowerPoint presentations for leadership approvals and project reporting.
  • Oversee vessel condition reviews, punch lists, guarantee claims, lessons learned (documentation and implementation), and task management.
  • Document, track, and communicate issues and quality control measures across the fleet to ensure proactive resolution.
  • Manage and maintain project task lists for Newbuild and Capital Projects (MS Planner / Aurora).
  • Develop and implement process efficiencies related to tracking, documentation, project management, and interdepartmental communication.
  • Lead and oversee weekly recaps for team meetings.
  • Prepare agendas and presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
  • Take ownership of post-delivery open items and ensure closure of executive comments from previous ships.
  • Document processes, decisions, and learnings throughout projects to streamline future initiatives.
  • Lead one-off requests such as providing content to Marketing, coordinating calendars, and fact-checking.
  • Own and manage Fleet Visitor Requests (FVRs) and Extra Crew Cabin Requests (ECCRs) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain and update departmental databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of key project documents.
  • Communicate project status to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead and document risk assessments for fleet modernization projects.
  • Maintain distribution lists and shared drives, ensuring team organization charts remain current.
  • Own the logistics and planning of shoreside and shipboard events.
  • Lead CAR submittals, gathering and consolidating information for memo drafting and submission.
  • Take ownership of strategic research and analysis to identify creative solutions and drive Fleet modernization initiatives.
  • Develop data-rich yet user-friendly reports to enhance decision-making.
  • Drive the alignment between stakeholders and partners, ensuring strategic execution from development through implementation.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure new concepts align with brand standards.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive business information.
  • Travel up to 10% for dry docks, onboard events, and key meetings.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, PMP, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 4-5 years of project management or coordination experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Strong ability to quickly learn and optimize internal processes to enhance team efficiency.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, financial, and spreadsheet modeling skills (Positioning, PAR, Berthing, etc.).
  • Exceptional follow-through, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
  • Highly adaptable, organized multi-tasker, capable of managing shifting priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, able to engage across diverse teams.
  • Own and manage departmental scheduling, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • A proactive, solution-driven mindset, able to translate challenges into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to document and package complex operational requirements and experiences.
  • Experience in shipbuilding, ship revitalization, or technical projects is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a large corporation or consulting firm is advantageous.
  • Ability to independently manage budgets

Financial Responsibilities

  • Owns the Positioning budget tracking under the oversight of the AVP.
  • Owns Berthing and PAR analysis and reporting for newbuilds.
  • Compiles, plans, and analyzes financial impact of projects.
  • Tracks timing, budget, cost control and reporting.

Physical Demands

While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, and stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a pc, communicate, listen, and assess information. The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 25-35 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
