Royal Caribbean Group’s Turnaround Destination Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Specialist, Destination Management Turnaround Operations Support reporting to the Manager, Turnaround Operations.
This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida

The Destination Management Turnaround Operations Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Turnaround Operations team and all phases of operational components for guests’ pre/post experience from development to execution. The role evaluates and establishes practices to align and synergize the Silversea shoreside and onboard experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Specializes in all operational aspects and crucial components of the airport, hotel, and pier operations.
- Enforces and trains, both internally & externally, on comprehensive operational and contingency plans for turnaround ports.
- Assists in scouting, sourcing, and maintaining tour operating relationships while also providing guidance on the company’s overall mission and quality benchmarks
- Able to gather and interpret data to help improve processes, optimize results, and make strategic decisions.
- Responsible for the integration and implementation of staffing balances at turnaround ports.
- Works closely with Manifest Coordinator in order to develop/enhance current reporting processes.
- Maintains knowledge of industry’s best practices for turnaround operations and identifies competitive opportunities.
- Ensures site inspection reports are completed & properly stored post-travel for future reference and departmental knowledge sharing.
- Collaborates with other departments to achieve alignment, including but not limited to, charter air programs and business requests from charters & incentive groups
- Contributes on the integration of special projects, both on the operational and analytical perspective, as requested.
- Develops and maintains a sustainable process for submitting incident report submissions and ensures accuracy for every voyage.
- Ensures proper operational information for internal departments is distributed and used to its full potential (guest communications, consumer/travel partner websites, and intranet).
- Ability to travel unexpectedly if an unforeseen circumstance arisen and consider 20% traveling within the scope of responsibility.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Education:
- BS/BA in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Logistics or similar.
- Years of experience: 5+ years in the cruise/travel industry (operational/logistical experience preferred).
Essential qualifications and skills:
- In-depth logistical knowledge of operations in the travel/cruise industry and geography.
- Develops effective working relationships with ground operator contacts & suppliers
- Familiarity in shore side programs (i.e. Hotels, Ground Services, Tour and Transfers)
- Results-driven & strategic thinker.
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, possess a positive, helpful, team-player attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project required. Familiarity with PowerBI system essential.
