The Royal Caribbean Group’s HR Strategy team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, HR Strategy and Business Management reporting to the Senior Director, HR Operations Strategy.
Position Summary:
The Manager, HR Strategy & Business Management reports to the Senior Director, HR Operations Strategy. This team delivers financials management, project management, driving culture and employee engagement, and partnering with SMEs across the organization to manage operational logistics for a 300+ person team.
This role provides a unique opportunity to grow strategic planning skills and enhance operations management capabilities with an opportunity to interface with multiple key stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Management

In partnership with HR Finance, manage annual G&A budgets and track use of available funds for forecasting purposes.

Build and manage budget models for HR Transformation projects accounting for spend amount, timing, resourcing, savings, and ROI.

Keep a keen eye on costs, maximizing our ability to deliver to our clients while staying in budget.

Track the progress and billing status of contracted vendors' Statements of Work (SOWs) for HR Ops.

Serve as the department liaison for HR Ops to Global Finance when questions arise.
Project Management

Capture strategic priorities, execute the department’s goals, and successfully resolve challenges to ensure high quality delivery.

Translate strategy into concrete work plans to accomplish desired objectives.

Manage a portfolio of assigned special projects and key strategic initiatives across HR Operations. Typical projects include governance & framework initiatives, org design, and measurement & monitoring design and reporting, in addition to managing workstreams in SME-led projects.

Manage through the unknown in creating roadmaps for new project work.

Gather relevant statistical information and conduct analyses that provide useful insights for improved strategy formulation and informed decision-making.

Connect the dots across programs and functions, weaving strategy and story.

PMO for the Sr. Director, HR Ops Strategy to continuously prioritize, manage timelines, and drive project completion.
Business Management

Drive culture by building, implementing, and managing a robust internal HR Operations employee engagement plan.

Facilitate operational processes on behalf of the HR Ops teams, such as contract requests, headcount tracking, invoice management, talent cycle activities, etc. Function as the key link between Process Owners (i.e., HRBPs, Procurement, Finance) and HR Ops Leadership to drive efficiencies and strategic decision making.

Create process, trackers, and templates to facilitate delivery of the HR Operations Strategy service catalog for HR Ops leadership team, such as teams’ open role and candidate status, new joiner integration, etc.

Manage agendas and build presentation materials for team leadership meetings and townhalls with a keen focus on delivering strategic messaging.
Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills:
The successful candidate will be discrete, high-energy, agile-minded, strategic, proactive, a direct communicator, and highly organized. In addition, the following standards will generally define the successful incumbent:

7-10 years of work experience in HRBP, Strategy, Project Management, or similar roles / functions.

Strong leadership, problem-solving and project management skills to meet strategic objectives.

Highly self-sufficient and able to effectively influence all levels of project participants

Excellent communication and group facilitation skills
-
Promotes teamwork to achieve the organization or program mission
-
Proven track record of managing budgets and producing Business Cases that delivered on projected ROI.

Proven track record of leveraging data to identify trends, summarizing key findings for Sr. Leadership in clear, concise, and visually appealing slides (or other communication formats)

Ability to clearly and effectively present information to top management and key stakeholder groups.

Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in both written and verbal communication in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.

Ability to creatively solve problems for which the answers aren’t always obvious

High level of emotional intelligence

Expert level experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint
