Position Summary:
Analyst F&B Waste, will be responsible for supporting all analysis as it relates for food and beverage waste for the fleet and finding ways to prevent waste from happening, including developing periodic food waste targets. Will participate in ship visits to look for ways to reduce food waste, implement pilot projects keeping track of progress, and collaborate with others to find best desired outcomes. Will include setting KPI’s for each project and work closely with the Manager of Waste to determine go no/go decision. Will also evaluate results from shipboard waste analysis and determining KPIs and developing corrective actions and guidelines. Requires great written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports Manager of Operational Excellence to reduce food waste fleetwide and develop prevention plans.
- Works on FPMS (Food Production Management System), a custom software, to manage daily tasks and support implementation.
- Maintains communication with POS team.
- Gathering data and analysis, identifying cost savings opportunities around F&B waste.
- Ad hoc analysis to determine the priority of an idea and other analysis as needed.
- Assists in maintaining department calendar of activities through Microsoft Project.
- Monitors F&B food waste and department KPIs to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Analyze special projects, defining KPIs and measuring results.
- Responsible for ad hoc analysis for projects impacting food and beverage cost and waste.
- Summarizes results and trends through presentations, databases, graphs, and schedules as needed.
- Collaborate with IT, Shipboard, Shoreside, and other employees to achieve goals.

Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) of four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience is required.
- 3 to 5 years related experience in financial / business analysis or related field with other cruise lines.
- Cruise or Travel Industry experience strongly preferred.
- Advance Microsoft ® Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet.
- Project Management experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills should include data management, statistical analysis, and broad exposure to operations research.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills, including the ability to adjust and effectively interact with external customers, internal staff, food and beverage corporate and ships leadership, and executive management.
- Bold thinker with ability to generate creative and actionable recommendations to increase revenue, reduce costs and improve operational performance, efficiency, and excellence.
- Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, develop, and execute appropriate action plan.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills to identify & interpret trends and provide achievable recommendations.
- Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of components in situations where no standardization exists.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Highly organized and meticulous.
- Familiar with IT implementation Projects highly desirable.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Responsible for modeling and monitoring waste, analyzing, and reporting variances in a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
