The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Food and Beverage Strategy on the Hotel Operations Team reporting to the Senior Director, Food and Beverage Operations.

This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida

Position Summary:

In this position, you would be responsible for the management and development of Celebrity Cruises' food and beverage strategy, both shipboard and shoreside. This involves leading a broad spectrum of projects that support the operations, including initiatives related to new builds and dry-dock revitalizations for ships, private destinations, and Groups and Charters. You would act as the gatekeeper for the Food and Beverage Team concerning special projects, strategic initiatives, and new partnerships, with responsibilities extending to the implementation of new food and beverage concepts and maintaining the continuous improvement of the company’s food and beverage operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing food and beverage aspects of ships’ new-build and dry-dock planning, concept launch, and monitoring critical paths, including validating new venue layouts.
  • Works with Groups and Charters Teams, acting as the main liaison among guests, shoreside, and shipboard operations.
  • Key duties include supporting the development of new restaurant concepts, maximizing revenue streams, implementing new initiatives like cost control for the fleet, supporting and maintaining The Celebrity Way, new CSD strategy, safety, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Recommends and supports policy and procedure changes, creating new food and beverage SOPs, consolidating data related to concept launches, and generating detailed financial reports.
  • Coordinates closely with corporate teams and communicates effectively about progress and successes to ensure smooth implementation and operational support of new projects and initiatives.
  • Supports food and beverage revenues and cost control for the fleet.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in food and beverage; cruise industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Should be a self-starter and be able to fulfill responsibilities with little direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a global environment.
  • Experience and/or training in the hospitality field is considered a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Willingness to accept the immediate product and project responsibility.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn the Celebrity Cruises food and beverage operation.
  • Be able to make recommendations, suggestions to improve operation.
  • Possess skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and any Graphic design program at a basic level.
  • Ability to quickly learn and be knowledgeable about onboard Celebrity Cruises products.
  • Demonstrate a friendly personality, strong knowledge of restaurant operations and overall food and beverage, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience training others or is willing to train and design training programs.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Able to understand the needs of each restaurant according to concept.
