The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Salesforce Developer, Risk Management.

This position sits on-site in Miami, FL

Position Summary:

As a Saleforce Developer, this position is responsible and will lead the database design and platform configuration of the Company’s incident reporting and claims system (using platform) to develop and promote optimal design solutions for its users in conjunction with the needs of the department. This role is highly technical in nature and requires demonstrated attention to detail, execution and follow-up on multiple initiatives with the Risk Management department. The ability to analyze, identify, develop and implement process improvements within the organization is a key factor of success in this role. The incumbent will be a trusted advisor to our team and clients, and an effective mentor for other Salesforce professionals working alongside you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the Salesforce environment; responsibilities include customizing and implementing profiles, roles, security settings, validation rules, applications, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, workflows, flows, approvals, dashboards, reports, etc.
  • Designs quality, scalable and performant solutions inside Salesforce in a coherent and streamlined solution.
  • Integrate risk management, safety or healthcare industry background with database design and platform configuration knowledge to develop optimal design solutions for the Company’s Risk Management System.
  • Lead discovery sessions with business owners to understand the existing and desired business processes and liaise between multiple departments to facilitate project scoping, requirements gathering and solution architecting.
  • Analyze, identify, develop and implement process improvements, both within and outside the Risk Management system.
  • Promote consistent design and best practice methodologies to solve similar problems across multiple departments an Riskonnect applications.
  • Deliver high-quality documentation of business requirements and design specifications for implementation.
  • Onboarding and off-boarding of Salesforce users (internal and external).
  • Remaining current on best practices and technologies and advising on these practices for Salesforce based solutions.
  • Work in lockstep with management in the incident management process.
  • Train team members, internal and external, in the use of the complex systems.
  • Monitors all help tickets and works with internal and external partners to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assists with department budgeting as necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong database design skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into written technical specs
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in risk management, industrial engineering, information science or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • Experience with global/international operations/organization a plus
  • Limited travel expected, however, must be able to travel up to 20% of the time, including trips abroad
  • Salesforce/Riskonnect Administrator and Salesforce certification
  • Very strong APEX & Visualforce development skills, Controllers, custom development, Custom Settings, Triggers, JavaScript, JSON and SOQL is required
  • Experience building managed applications & AppExchange development experience is a major plus
  • Deployment automation is a strong plus using Metadata API, Change Set and ANT
  • Experience working at a software product company is a major plus
  • Experience integrating with Python and/or java is a plus
  • Agile development experience
  • Project Management experience with complex and long-term projects
  • Demonstrates a strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support the strategy
  • Excellent ability to coach, motivate and direct work tasks to a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
  • Ability to develop presentations and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors
  • Process oriented and able to lead and affect process change and improvements
  • Self-motivated, adaptive, proactive, quick learner, and work well with others with minimum supervision, in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Strong technical, analytic, problem solving and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, yet maintain a big-picture point of view
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management, staff, and vendors.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize requests.
