POSITION SUMMARY:

***This is not a remote position. This position works on site at our office located in Miami, Florida***

The Art Programs Lead will work closely with the Art Programs Manager on the project management component of the Art program across all vessels and brands within the RCG portfolio. This role requires strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects and timelines. The role will enhance and manage all aspects of the Art Program including all non-project specific art related areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and project manage all art projects, schedule of deliverables and project complexities, while maintaining the budget, overall financial health, and scope of each art project.
  • Development and execution, in partnership with Art Manager, of all art presentations to the Executive and Sr. Management teams for selection and investment of the Art Collection onboard each vessel.
  • Drive communication and collaboration between various stakeholders, pro-actively track and resolve action items, escalating when necessary.
  • Lead coordination between all parties (contractors, art consultants, etc.) involved to ensure schedules of artwork deliverables are communicated, coordinated, and strictly followed.
  • Work extensively with art consultants in conjunction with related parties to ensure all needs are met for art installation, e.g., lighting, weight. Lead all coordination of changes, if necessary
  • Responsible for tracking budgets and change orders.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the tracking process of artwork selections and approvals.
  • Ensure that all project related documents & drawings have a consistent filing system and ensure execution of the same with the team.
  • Participates in collaborative process by offering original ideas & influences innovative thinking. Assist with creation of Art Brief for Art Consultant per project.
  • Develops and assists Manager with the RFP preparation, including project timeline, budget allocation, initial art location plan draft.
  • Leads work with art consultants and assists in interpretation of architectural design documents and development of proposals.
  • Independently lead art workshops, support Manager in
  • Align with Newbuild project design teams to ensure teams are properly including art references/locations in architectural design document submittals.
  • Align with internal and external key counterparts on overseeing and ensuring all relevant drawings are reviewed and filed on a timely basis.
  • Refine and develop existing and new processes around the art program and continue to drive our best practices across all stakeholders.
  • Partner with project signage vendors/consultants and art consultants for art plaque design, content, and execution.
  • Lead collaboration and be a primary point of contact to the logistics team, marketing/PR teams, supply chain and art consultants on logistics, promotional items, delivery and distribution of the art book/brochures.
  • Oversees the disposition planning of the art, as well as storage, auctions, charity, and investment management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent from an accredited university with a concentration in Project Management, Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
  • 6+ years in an Interior Design environment and/or Project Management
  • Experience in a supportive art role and/or art environment a plus. (This is not a curatorial role)
  • Ship experience a plus.
  • Must be able to read architecture and design drawings.
  • Must be available to travel 20-25% of the time, for up to 2 weeks at a time, internationally.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Software: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and AUTOCAD required. Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign a plus.
  • Knowledge of Art and how its longevity will be affected within the Marine Environment preferred.
  • Awareness of Art value.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, financial and spreadsheet modeling skills.
  • Strong project management skills and budget preparation experience.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management, ability to maneuvers comfortably through complex policy, process & people related organizational dynamics.
  • Ability to exercise extreme flexibility and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Physical Demands:

The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations, and may lift, push, pull or move 10-15 pounds. The employee is frequently required to walk, ascend, and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirement includes distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, possibly travel domestic and international, and work in shipboard functions. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
