About the Role

As we rapidly expand one of the world’s most iconic chicken QSR brands across Mexico, we are looking for a Supply Chain & Innovation Manager to lead the national strategy for sourcing, logistics, quality assurance, and product execution.

Based in Mexico City, this position is responsible for managing all supply chain functions across regions and serves as the key connector between the local operation and the brand’s global support teams in Miami and Switzerland. You will be instrumental in delivering competitive cost structures, stable supply, and operational excellence—from the sourcing of core ingredients to the launch of new menu items.

This is a highly strategic role with national influence and cross-regional coordination, requiring strong experience in supply chain design, vendor negotiation, and execution within fast-paced, franchise-led environments.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management

  • Lead the design and execution of the national sourcing strategy across all key input categories: food, packaging, logistics, and equipment.
  • Negotiate national and international supply contracts, leveraging the brand’s global scale and long-term growth in Mexico to achieve cost advantages, supply security, and commercial flexibility.
  • Identify new suppliers as needed and manage performance of existing partners to ensure compliance, reliability, and service excellence.

Supply Chain Architecture & Logistics

  • Build and optimize the national supply chain infrastructure, including production, distribution, and last-mile logistics in coordination with regional third-party providers.
  • Ensure timely and uninterrupted supply across all regions, supporting growth from the first 50+ restaurants to a network of several hundreds in the coming decade.
  • Develop and oversee systems for inventory forecasting, logistics planning, and service level performance monitoring.

Product Execution & Innovation Feasibility

  • Collaborate with the global and local marketing and development teams to assess, source, and prepare for new product introductions, ensuring all launches are supply chain ready.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to determine the operational and sourcing feasibility of menu innovation and product line extensions.
  • Align timelines and supplier capabilities to support strong execution of product and packaging updates.

Franchisee & Field Support

  • Serve as the primary supply chain resource for franchisees across all Mexican regions, providing tools, communication, and resolution support for sourcing, delivery, and inventory issues.
  • Partner closely with regional Operations Directors and store teams to ensure the supply chain enables—not limits—store performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Offer ongoing insight into cost structure and product availability, helping franchisees make informed operational decisions.

Global & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the RBI global supply chain and innovation teams, maintaining tight alignment with development pipelines and vendor strategies out of Miami and Switzerland.
  • Represent Mexico’s supply needs in global forums and collaborate with international peers on best practices and procurement opportunities.
  • Align closely with internal functions (Development, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to support the brand’s rapid expansion.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Oversee food safety protocols and supplier audits in coordination with global QA teams.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Manage incident resolution procedures and identify long-term improvements.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing, or procurement—preferably within QSR, FMCG, food distribution, or franchised restaurant environments.
  • Strong track record of negotiating supplier contracts, optimizing cost structures, and implementing scalable logistics solutions.
  • Experience managing multi-regional or national supply chains, including forecasting, performance monitoring, and vendor accountability.
  • Clear understanding of foodservice distribution networks, vendor ecosystems, and the balance between global leverage and local execution.
  • Experience supporting product launches or updates, with a focus on sourcing feasibility and operational readiness.
  • Highly analytical with financial acumen and project management skills.
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
