Role Overview:

The Canadian Consumer Packaged Goods business is focused on driving growth of Tim Hortons packaged coffee, beverage, and food products within grocery, mass, drug, and other retail channels across Canada. We are seeking a Manager - Marketing Communications to join our Marketing Team based in Toronto, ON. This individual will lead the development and execution of omni-channel shopper marketing strategies and communications that drive conversion, visibility, and brand engagement at the point of sale.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with brand objectives and drive incremental sales across retail channels. Translate Tim Hortons marketing programs into compelling in-store executions that resonate with Canadian consumers and shoppers.

  • Retail Activation & Execution: Lead the planning and execution of digital and in-store marketing campaigns. Partner with sales to ensure flawless execution and alignment with customer priorities. Support CPG integration into Tims PR and influencer initiatives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand, Sales, and Restaurant teams to develop integrated shopper marketing plans. Lead external agencies relationships to develop programs and bring them to life.

  • Performance Measurement & Optimization: Track and analyze campaign performance using shopper data, POS metrics, and retailer feedback. Continuously optimize programs based on ROI, shopper behavior insights, and competitive activity.

  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation and tracking of spend across initiatives. Support financial planning and forecasting to enable long term strategic planning.

  • Innovation & Creativity: Stay current on marketing trends, technologies, and best practices and identify new opportunities to bring the best of Tim Hortons brand activations to our CPG business.

Essential Skills

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for driving brand engagement at retail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Commerce, or related field (MBA an asset).

  • 4+ years experience in shopper marketing, marketing communications or brand management.

  • Experience working with Canadian retailers (e.g., Loblaw, Sobeys, Walmart, Metro).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, retailer portals).

  • Experience managing budgets and agency relationships.
