Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is looking for an experienced food service professional to lead our Operations Transformation team, and join our Popeyes North America Operations Team based in Miami, FL. The Director of Ops Transformation leads the research and development of all operations procedures and systems changes in Popeyes restaurants across the U.S. and Canada. These responsibilities include the operational development of all product changes via limited time offerings (LTOs) or permanent menu innovations, advising and developing the operations for all equipment and technology changes, and owning the development and operation of Popeyes’s digital production management system and back-office software for inventory and scheduling. These responsibilities are managed across a team of two director reports with six total employees under the Director. Key additional partnerships include Franchisee Advisory Council, Field Operations, Marketing Innovation & Execution, Digital, Tech, and Supply Chain. Ultimately, this role brings all major innovations to how a Popeyes restaurant is operated to life from research to piloting and proving the value of each change.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a dynamic team of restaurant professionals, project managers, and innovators
  • Drive a culture of creative problem solving, constant testing and iteration, analysis, and learning to discover new and innovative ways to improve restaurant execution and the Guest experience
  • Engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and document innovative improvement opportunities that increase productivity, efficiency, or guest satisfaction at Popeyes restaurants
  • Leverage data to inform experimentation and innovative ideas with the end goal of building well-defined business cases to support each workstream
  • Troubleshoot and develop innovative methods to gather feedback on predominant sticking points facing our guests and in-restaurant teams to inform future roadmaps, product enhancements, and process improvement within restaurants
  • Serve as the brand expert on product procedures and restaurant management routines
  • Leverage relationship with various business leaders to develop an in-depth understanding of Popeyes’s current and future business needs
  • Identify and exploit emerging technologies and trends
  • Travel throughout North America (10-20% of time) to meet with franchisees and vendors

Skills:

  • 8+ years of professional experience, with a QSR, operations, or analytics background being highly preferred
  • Project management, communication, stakeholder management, negotiating and influencing experience with a track record of achieving engagement from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience supporting the evaluation, development and implementation of operational improvements and operational metrics to enable standardization, compliance, and scalability
  • Relentless driver of rapid iteration, always considering the end user experience (most often being the in-restaurant operators)
  • Excellent communicator, both written, verbal and through presentations; articulates concepts in a clear, structured and succinct manner, adjusted for the audience
  • Extremely accountable to driving the right outcome - even if it goes beyond their role and scope
  • Results-driven with bias for action and commitment to excellence; acts with a sense of urgency
