Job Overview:

Restaurant Training Design Manager supervises training and development programs that International (APAC, LAC, EMEA) training team creates for restaurant employees and restaurant managers. The position also includes education franchise trainers through workshops and webcasts; the fundamentals of how to use our programs in their restaurants.

The responsibilities include best-in-class curriculum design of e-Learning courses, in person workshops, paper-based support materials and other media to train, recognize, and retain restaurant teams. Trainers conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new employees. These programs are designed to develop potential and current team members and managers and/or replace those leaving.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3 content designers to ensure training and operations processes are accurate in digital training and offline materials (ex. Guides, job aids, etc.)
  • Ensures training content is reviewed and updated based on brand and operational changes.
  • Partners with the platform team to ensure that training program launches are implemented and embedded with local training activities within the markets
  • Ensures Franchise Training Managers know how to use the tools and materials to certify the training of all trainees (e.g., Basics, Position Training, Foundations and Workshops)
  • Partner with regional operations teams to review operations results and act on identifying training gaps which may impact team performance at the restaurant level.
  • Visit high-volume markets to partner with their teams by having a clear training plan on activating, monitoring, and measuring training results. Shares back action plans to leadership to verify performance standards with a results-driven mindset.
  • Consult with franchise training leaders to review succession plans for all restaurants to better understand gaps in the management for future promotions.
  • Organizes and leads Training workshops developed based on the Operations needs of the business and put into an organized 12-month calendar to ensure successful roll out of each program. Measures the results of the workshops.
  • Validates training metrics against brand and regional targets by using a dashboard to publish findings and areas of improvement.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • 4–8 years in L&D leadership roles, with a focus on instructional design, training delivery, and program management.
  • Experience with learning management systems; familiarity with the Docebo platform is a plus.
  • Skilled in Articulate 360, Camtasia, Storyline, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and emerging digital learning trends.
  • Previous experience in QSR or retail environments and regional roles is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel across the EMEA region up to 20%.
  • Availability to work on-site five days per week.
