Execute configuration updates to existing and newly acquired sites, while assisting as 2nd level support for all issues escalated by the Helpdesk in a 24x7 environment. Testing and validation of all Restaurant Systems applications and interfaces used in the restaurants. Development of procedural documentation, application fix and/or enhancements documentation, and test scripts for departmental and company wide use.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop test scripts for testing all software application installs and updates for all in Restaurant Systems technology platforms and interfaces.
- Document software requirements and defects for all in-house and 3rd party software applications.
- Develop procedures and documentation for departmental use.
- Assist the Helpdesk as Level 2 support for all in Restaurant Systems technology platforms and interfaces.
- Assist the Helpdesk as Level 2 support for all hardware configurations of Restaurant Systems technology platforms and interfaces.
- Apply software changes and make configuration changes for new devices, new sites, and existing sites.
- Validate hard drive image changes for the Helpdesk for replacement on all supported systems.
- Test new software/hardware that can assist in the maintenance of all Restaurant Systems technology platforms and interfaces.
- Validate and document differences between POS/Inventory, Carrols Back Office, and Corporate Financial Systems.
- Validate Corporate produced files that are downloaded to the restaurants.
- Validate all Restaurant Systems technology platforms and interface exports to ensure proper data is being sent back to Corporate.
- Ensure all Restaurant Systems technology platforms and interfaces have been updated to the latest files through the use of detailed level reporting.
- Assist with installation and software modifications for all applications associated with Restaurant Systems.
- Create Home Office mail memo documentation explaining code fixes and enhancements in a format understood by Executive Management, as well as the Restaurant user.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in computer related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Background in restaurant/retail management applications (Inventory, HR/Payroll, POS, Labor, and Cash Management) preferred.
- Experience in restaurant operation procedures including management responsibilities a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft DOS and PowerShell scripts
- Understanding of the PC architecture. Ability to diagnose hardware/software conflicts, hardware components, and testing of hardware failures is required.
- Understanding of Networking concepts is required.
- Ability to learn software applications with minimal training is required.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Teams, Office and 365 products.
- Understanding of SQL queries for relationship databases, such as MS SQL and Access is required.
- Excellent understanding of Remote support communication software, such as SCCM, RemoteLink, Logmein and ManageEngine.
- Understanding of image copying software, such as Symantec Ghost, Clonezilla and Windows DISM tool.
