Job Summary: The Manager, Innovation & Activation - Value, US, will support the Senior Manager of Innovation & Activation – Value team to develop an end-to-end marketing strategy across our Job To Be Done Value pillar, including product category development, creative positioning and cross functional strategy throughout the marketing campaign life cycle. The position is responsible for conducting competitive research, keeping a pulse on consumer insights and trends, and leading the development and testing pipeline.
The Manager will be asked to identify key marketing brand priorities for the year and contribute to developing a market plan to achieve these goals. This includes working with agency partners and cross functionally to champion “Value” at Popeyes and continuously optimize the strategy to achieve business KPIs and targets as set down by management. They will be a key player in driving PLK’s Value perception and furthering our Irresistible Value Job To Be Done for new and existing Popeyes consumers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Leads comprehensive analysis of industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions to drive “Value” at Popeyes
· Identifies opportunities by analyzing multiple data sources on Tableau, including national and regional sales performance, product mix, price positioning, profit, menu architecture, and product margins. Uses this data to make strategic recommendations
· Develops Popeyes' “Value” campaigns from inception to implementation to evaluation, acting in both a strategic and executional capacity
· Engage with key agency partners and drive the marketing communications processes all channels
· Creates and presents in stage-gate process for new product innovation from the ideation/concept stage to product launch
· Collaborates with various cross-functional departments such as Operations, Marketing Analytics, Insights, Media, PR, Communications, Digital, Supply Chain and Legal to manage categories, calendar and sales activations
· Creates executive presentations for strategic projects in a logical and well-thought-out manner
· Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget
Skills & Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of experience in brand marketing; QSR/Foodservice/CPG a plus
· Effective communicator, both written, verbal and through presentations. Articulates concepts in a clear, structured and succinct manner, adjusted for the audience
· Results-driven with a bias for action and commitment to excellence. Acts with a sense of urgency
· Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally and with external partners
· Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
· Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to drive decisions and optimize performance
