Our Opportunity:

Restaurant Brands International is looking for a Manager, Retail Strategy & Operations, Tim Hortons to drive overall retail sales, profitability, and execution in our brick & mortar (B&M) restaurant channel.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive successful execution of Retail initiatives in Tim Hortons Canada restaurants by working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Field teams, and Marketing to launch National general merchandise products

  • Lead supply/demand forecasting for the Retail Brick & Mortar channel

  • Manage the implementation of Nation-wide Retail projects and initiatives, proactively resolving challenges and managing associated risks impacting the achievement of business or strategic objectives

  • Manage planning & execution of all Retail test markets from initial design to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams on test briefs, site selection assessments, ops procedures, owner comms/surveys, and inventory optimization

  • Partner with Ops & Merchandising teams to create Retail-specific restaurant execution standards & requirements to elevate visual merchandising, optimize inventory planning, drive labour efficiencies, and ultimately increase Retail profitability for owners

  • Conduct various performance analytics including (but not limited to) SKU level sales, inventory sell through/shrink, restaurant ops KPIs, profitability analysis, competitive benchmarking, and broader retail industry market performance

  • Manage relationships with key Retail service vendors & partners

  • Assist in development of a store grading strategy based on restaurant format and site characteristics to tailor the retail assortment and fixture type by location

  • Assist with development and implementation of a Retail discounting & clearance strategy

  • Assist in developing all National Retail owner communication memos and surveys

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience

  • Analytical, data-driven mindset and proficient with conducting quantitative analysis and synthesizing insights to help with decision-making

  • Experience in forecasting and/or demand planning

  • Proven ability to proactively manage complex projects involving cross-functional stakeholders with a high level of autonomy

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERPs and other Retail-led systems is a plus
