Position Overview:
The Director will report to the VP of SEC Reporting and is responsible for the preparation of the worldwide consolidation, financial statements, and all SEC filings. The role oversees the completeness and accuracy of external reporting across the organization. The successful candidate will establish relationships across multiple business segments and provide the necessary data, presentation, and analysis aimed at driving brand recognition for RBI to the investor community.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparation quarterly and annual consolidation of Global Financial results
- Responsible for the preparation, review and filing of the Form 10-Q and 10-K
- Responsible for researching and communicating SEC reporting disclosure guidance and peer reporting analysis
- Participate in special projects
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the consolidation of Global Financial results including preparation of world wide consolidated balance sheets, cash flows, profit and loss statements and various supplemental schedules.
- Lead the preparation of US GAAP interim and annual financial statements and disclosures, including developing new disclosures
- Lead the preparation and review of quarterly earnings deliverables: earnings release, conference call script, Q&A document, supplemental data, board presentation and audit committee presentation
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K’s, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX 404)
- Partner with Investor Relations, Legal, HR, Treasury and Tax and other cross functional teams in order to ensure accurate and timely financial communication as well as maintain proper Disclosure and Controls procedures
- Oversee process improvements execution including new system implementations and enhancements or data management changes
- Supervise and review SEC Reporting Team members’ work (including equity-related accounting areas)
- Manage quarterly reviews and annual audit processes and relationships with external auditors
- Direct the effective implementation, integration, and execution of special projects
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; master's degree preferred; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including Big 4 public accounting and industry experience
- Experience in a publicly traded, multinational company strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with global consolidation, foreign currency translation, and intercompany eliminations a plus
- Working knowledge of OneStream, Workiva and accounting systems (SAP) is helpful
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
