Position Title: Director, Field Strategy Implementation

Location: Miami, FL

Job Overview:

The Director of Field Strategy Implementation oversees all field wide initiatives through strong collaboration with field and cross functional stakeholders. The Director of Field Strategy Implementation works closely with all 4 regional leaders as well as their teams accounting for 80+ members in addition to RSC cross functional teams to ensure seamless execution of field initiatives. The Director of Field Strategy is also a point of contact for any RSC related questions or support needed by a field team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Field Calendar representing cross functional initiatives ranging from product launches, franchisee and field initiatives
  • Collaborate with field leadership team and cross functional teams on field execution framework milestones
  • Oversee the FSS program including methodology, dashboard performance, franchisee communication, and field training
  • Responsible for all cadenced meeting templates and field tools including the franchisee management tool Appian
  • Ensure field facing initiatives and workstreams are managed efficiently
  • Point of contact for the field team to support any various needs

Essential Duties:

  • Develop effective professional relationships with field leadership team including Regional Vice Presidents and Divisional General Managers enabling the productive and efficient exchange of information and ideas that drive performance
  • Lead the GM Field Council to ensure field feedback is represented with the restaurant support center cross functional teams for optimal execution of BK US system-wide and regional initiatives
  • Conduct cross functional meetings to assess and advise on field execution framework milestones for system initiatives (Ops analytics, Tech & Digital, Marketing, Ops Execution, Ops Excellence, Field Training, Development, Legal)
  • Oversee Business Review process including management of template and tools
  • Oversee the franchisee management tool Appian which provides the field team a repository of franchisee related items (Business Reviews, Action Plans, Non-Compliance)
  • Project manage all development related to the franchise management functionality
  • Manage the Regional Performance Meeting process which includes identifying key business priorities for the field team to present on, management of support tools, developing in person meeting schedules and overseeing all end-to-end planning logistics
  • Partner with key franchisees to discuss, review and collaborate on components of the FSS strategy to ultimately align and receive their buy-in prior to communicating to the wider Franchisee system
  • Responsible for the implementation of FSS changes with all internal and external partners through ongoing cadences and communication
  • Oversee all escalated FSS related tickets and feedback with analytics and leadership team
  • Manage the Market Improvement Meeting process
  • Oversee the Franchise Excellence Scorecard methodology; a calculation methodology that serves to assess franchisee performance
  • Oversee the Divisional Excellence Scorecard methodology; a calculation methodology that serves to assess field performance
  • Identify training opportunities for field team members and oversee field wide training initiatives
  • Support the field team and be point of contact for any cross-functional assistance
  • Conduct market visits when applicable
  • Attend Regional Franchise Association meetings, Market Improvement Meetings, Regional Offsite Meetings when applicable
  • Manage Regional Performance Meeting, Market Improvement Meeting and Divisional Excellence Award budgets
  • Manage the exception request process
  • Manage and execute field alignment changes and updates to maintain alignment accuracy

Skills:

  • 8+ years experience in franchised businesses, operations, business, restaurants, or other related fields
  • Experience serving in a customer or franchisee-facing role is preferred
  • Experience in general business management, including financial/P&L understanding
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated people management experience, including individual contributors and other people managers as direct reports

  • Project management skills and communication skills demonstrated through previous roles and experiences
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
