Our Opportunity:

The Manager of Restaurant Operations provides significant value to both our franchise partners and within the Tim Horton’s business by being the in-house expert on restaurant operations, including standards, best practices, and equipment. These efforts are directed toward the dual goals of increasing guest satisfaction and improving franchisee profitability.

This role is highly dynamic and provides an outstanding platform for understanding and influencing all Operations aspects of the business.

Specifically, the Manager of Restaurant Operations will be responsible for leading initiatives to help ensure franchise partners are supported in the following key areas:

  • Operations Execution: Execute brand standard operating procedures, with functional knowledge of Brand Standards.
  • Best Practices: Charged with identifying opportunities and areas for improvement to best support the goals of improved guest satisfaction, speed of service and franchisee profitability

The successful candidate will need to be influential in relationships with external stakeholders (Franchisees and vendors) and internal partners (Operations R&D, IT, Field teams & Marketing etc.). Due to this, successful candidates will be able to demonstrate intimate knowledge of restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Constantly analyzes current product, procedure, and equipment performance for improvement opportunities.
  • Develops Field Operations Tests for theories and conclusions arising from the data feedback on current products, procedures, and equipment
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Innovation, and Ops R&D to develop and maintain consistent high standards for system wide execution.
  • Apply existing and new solutions in creative ways to address complex issues and problems
  • Leads Field Team initiatives and provides continued support on operations related projects

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the QSR industry and restaurant operations
  • Business acumen & dexterity with qualitative business concepts
  • 5+ years’ experience in the large-scale restaurant setting, either Corporate and/or Field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build meaningful business relationships
  • Highly organized, motivated and a team player
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others
  • Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
