About the Opportunity:

The undergraduate Analytics Program in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University seeks candidates for a 12-month, open-rank, non-tenure track, renewable faculty position on our new Miami Campus. The ideal candidate will have a record demonstrating their expertise and engagement in statistics, data management, and data analytics studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting on-ground academic opportunities for students at our Miami Campus and for growing the analytics program throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in curriculum development, teaching both online and on ground courses, and engaging in service to the department, college, and university. This full-time faculty member will serve students by participating in a range of teaching and non-teaching activities that support the advancement of the program. S/he will teach a full teaching load spread throughout the year and will work with the program office on administrative issues and programmatic projects.

Faculty enjoy a collegial work environment that allows for work-life balance and are expected to be available to students on ground in Miami or online as needed for their coursework.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong teaching abilities and a dedication to continued improvement as an educator. Experience teaching at the bachelor’s level, teaching and developing on ground and online courses, and proven success in working with international students are desired attributes.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • A terminal degree from an accredited institution in data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics or data science
  • Experience with teaching both online and on ground at the bachelor’s level
