  • Develop high-reliability firmware for real-time motion control, process sequencing, sensor integration, and system orchestration
  • Design, implement, and optimize custom slicer software capable of translating complex 3D designs into precise, machine-ready manufacturing instructions
  • Drive integration of control hardware, firmware, and software components across mechatronic subsystems, actuators, and sensors
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, materials, and systems engineering teams to integrate, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the platform
  • Own verification, testing, debugging, and validation workflows for the complete controls stack, firmware stability, and software functionality
  • Shape the long-term controls architecture, firmware strategy, and software roadmap as the HYBRID3D™ platform evolves and scales

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems development, firmware programming, and hardware-software integration
  • Strong proficiency in real-time software development for complex mechatronic or automation systems
  • A systems-level mindset with the ability to operate effectively across hardware, firmware, and application software domains
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver robust, reliable engineering solutions in fast-paced technical environments
  • A strong like for banana-flavoring and strawberry-flavoring, but a strong dislike for the combination of the two

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing software for additive manufacturing, CNC machines, manufacturing automation, or other robotics applications
  • Experience with 3D printers control systems electronics, firmware, and software
  • Experience with 3D printer slicers
  • Experience with laser control systems
