This will be a support role working alongside the material coordinators, who provide material management and purchasing support to Electric Transmission and Substation Construction Projects

• What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? If remote possibility, indicate schedule. 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

• At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? OT is not guaranteed, will require approval prior to OT given.

This position will include:
Analyzing, processing, and maintenance of project material receipt paperwork.
Analyzing material usage patterns for project and inventory items
Tracking open orders for problematic suppliers and distributing exceptions
Creating material reservations, requisitions, and pick requests
Creating and distributing reports for bills of materials, material reservations, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, pick requests, and stored project items
Bill of Material processing

Job Description
Provides materials management and logistical coordination for delivery projects and operations. Evaluates and processes material requisitions and reservations. Performs a set of logistical activities to coordinate material deliveries. Manages goods receipt operations including SAP transactions, paperwork request management, and associated maintenance. Utilizes SAP, MS Access, MS Excel, and other data processing tools to analyze and report on inventory, supplier orders, schedule exceptions, and supporting system data as needed. Provides material exception and return support for construction and engineering groups. Assists in planning and implementation of sourcing initiatives. Develops and maintains material supplier and service networks. Enters supplier issue reports and assists in resolving supply chain, supplier, and logistical issues. Collaborates with internal and external groups daily, including but not limited: to engineering, supply chain, sourcing, project management, construction, and suppliers.

• What are the top “must have” skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?
1. SAP experience
2. Excel experience, being able to pull and create reports.


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
2-4 years related experience
Knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
Knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.
Knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.
Working knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning.
Good oral, written, and presentation skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Basic forecasting and trend analysis skills.
Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
Value and cost analysis skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and to meet deadlines.
Ability to process information quickly and accurately.
Ability to walk, stoop, and bend, to perform walkdowns and to search for materials.
Good color vision to identify materials.
