POSITION/TITLE: Senior Tax Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Tax Manager will establish and lead the company’s tax function, with primary responsibility for U.S. federal income tax and sales & use tax compliance, planning, and audits. This is a hands-on role requiring the individual to prepare, review, and manage tax filings, schedules, reconciliations, and responses, while working closely with external tax advisors for specialized opinions and filings. Experience with international tax compliance is preferred but not required.
LOCATION: Orlando, Florida
RESPONSIBILITES:
Hands-On Tax Compliance & Execution
· Prepare and review U.S. federal income tax returns (Forms 1120 and related schedules)
· Prepare detailed tax workpapers, schedules, and reconciliations
· Prepare or coordinate multi-state sales & use tax returns and filings
· Respond to IRS and state notices and audits
· Maintain tax calendars and compliance documentation
U.S. Federal Income Tax
· Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740)
· Research federal tax law changes and assess impact
· Support tax planning initiatives
· Coordinate with external tax consultants for opinions and specialized filings
Sales & Use / Indirect Tax
· Perform nexus analysis and assess compliance obligations
· Prepare or oversee multi-state sales & use tax filings
· Support audits, VDAs, and exemption certificate processes
· Advise on taxability of products and services
International Tax
· Support international tax compliance (Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, etc.)
· Coordinate transfer pricing documentation with advisors
Function Build-Out & Cross-Functional Support
· Establish tax processes, controls, and documentation
· Serve as primary tax contact for finance, legal, and operations
· Identify automation and process improvement opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· Minimum 8 years of progressive tax experience within enterprise SaaS technology company required
· Hands-on experience preparing federal and sales & use tax filings required
· Previous experience responding to tax notices and audits required
· Previous working knowledge of ASC 740 required
· Proficiency with tax technology tools
· International tax experience preferred
· Big 4 or large regional firm experience preferred
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
· CPA required
· Masters in Tax preferred
Depending on specific professional experience and geographical location of individuals, the salary for this position ranges from $150,000 - $170,000. Additional wage/bonus/commission and benefit details will be shared during the formal interview process for this full-time employment opportunity.
