Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager on behalf of this pioneering client who has a solid background in fintech and software engineering – particularly in consumer lending, digital payments, and open banking. This role requires strategic leadership, hands-on execution, and vendor management skills to ensure that our digital lending platforms remain efficient, compliant, and user-friendly. You’ll oversee the development and optimization of our payroll-deductible lending platform, ensuring it stays efficient, compliant, and user-friendly.
You’ll collaborate across departments, lead technical teams, and manage vendor relationships to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Infrastructure & Optimization:
- Act as the primary liaison between business units and the offshore teams, ensuring alignment of data strategy with business objectives.
- Design, implement, and scale our digital lending and payroll deduction platform for U.S.-based operations.
- Ensure seamless integration with payment systems (ACH, digital wallets, etc.) and compliance with U.S. financial regulations.
- Oversee cybersecurity strategies, fraud detection, and data protection to ensure platform integrity and customer trust.
- Tech/Stack knowledge: React front end. .net backend, postgresql database, API integrations
- Provide tactical and managerial leadership to guide the offshore team in developing effective solutions.
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead cross-functional conversations with key stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Translate complex business needs into technical solutions
- Lead a team of developers, engineers, and external partners to build and maintain a resilient fintech ecosystem.
- Align technology initiatives with strategic business goals in collaboration with C-level executives, compliance, and operations.
- Drive innovation using AI-powered credit risk modeling, automation, and data intelligence.
- System & Vendor Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of offshore resources, including developers, product managers, engineers, and UX/UI.
- Establish effective communication channels and bridge gaps between technical and non-technical teams.
- Manage and negotiate with third-party technology vendors to maintain cost-effective, high-performance systems.
- Oversee deployment of open banking APIs, payroll system integrations, and alternative payment methods (ACH, digital wallets, etc.).
- Data & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met across all deliverables.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with AML, KYC, and U.S. data privacy laws.
- Develop and maintain analytics dashboards to enhance loan decision-making, monitor performance, and reduce risk
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IT management, preferably within fintech, digital banking, or consumer lending
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role with offshore team management.
- Proven expertise in digital payment systems, open banking APIs, and payroll-linked lending technologies
- In data security, regulatory compliance, and AI-driven tools is a strong plus
Qualifications:
- Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Spanish is a plus, not a requirement).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and interpret business challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage competing priorities.
- Proficient with agile development, DevOps methodologies, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
