Our client is a leading, well known, Alternative Invesment (Fund) based in NYC seeking a Director for their initial ETF platform launch. This is an opportunity for a seasoned executive to make a significant impact in the scaling & functionality of ETF platform.
Ideal individual will be tasked with working with Firms Management Team aiding new ETF platform launch, assisting in the shaping of the firms' plans for growth and driving the development of new ETF product line for the future.
Prior track record launching new platform, working with institutional relationship dealing with ETF investments (mandatory).
Job Description
- Lead the strategic launch and organic growth of Firms' ETF Trading business
- Execute a launch strategy that aligns with the company's vision and market demand.
- Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) with regards to ETF market structure, and strategic partnerships
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scale, and resilience of firms' ETF platform
- Recommend process improvement and technological enhancements to optimize operational effectiveness.
- Contribute to thought leadership and industry developments
- Leverage institutional /industry relationships in effort to maximize platform profitability
- Implement strategic plans and administer projects, programs, or systems to achieve short-to-midterm objectives, leveraging proficiency in process automation, continuous improvement

- Collaborate with internal teams, including product management, legal, portfolio management, and portfolio operations, to ensure a seamless and compliant product development process.
- Work closely with the Product Strategy and Research & Development Team to assist with research related to new and existing products to ensure ETFs are structured to trade efficiently
- Stay updated on developments in the broader ETF landscape
Desired Skills and Experience
- 15+ years of experience in the investment management industry, with a strong track record in product development/ETF Lauch/SMA Trading
- National Accounts Experience (mandatory)
- In depth knowledge of Exchange Traded Funds with a high level of knowledge around capital markets, asset allocation, and portfolio construction
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience with '40 Act products, including exchange traded funds and mutual funds.
- Experience in product, including product development, product launches, product life cycle management
- Experience in a project management role, in a retail distribution group.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dead-line driven dynamic environment
- Innovative and creative thinker
- Must be detail oriented
