Our client is a rapidly growing health technology company with revenues exceeding $300M, transforming the way healthcare is delivered through innovation and data-driven solutions. The team is seeking to hire a Snr Director, Controller, who will oversee the month-end close process, supervise staff, and implement strong controls and processes as the company continues to scale.
The ideal candidate will bring a CPA designation with a blend of Big 4/public accounting and private company experience, ideally in high-growth, tech-enabled industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly financial reporting package and the month end close process
- Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, revenue recognition, and fixed assets.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee all revenue recognition and ensure compliance with ASC 606
- Manage external audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies, establishing and maintaining robust internal controls.
- Partner with FP&A and senior leadership to provide insights into results, variances, and key business drivers.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of accounting systems, processes, and controls to support a scaling organization.
- Support strategic initiatives including M&A integration, process automation, and system implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Active CPA required.
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting (Big 4/national firm) and private company leadership roles.
- Experience leading teams in a high-growth, technology or healthcare-related environment strongly preferred.
- Strong technical accounting (ASC 606) knowledge (US GAAP) and experience with complex accounting areas.
