Coda Search is partnering with a fast-growing hospitality group with revenues exceeding $50M based in NYC. The Controller will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly financial reporting package. The Controller will manage and mentor the accounting team, partner closely with senior leadership, and support ongoing growth initiatives, especially as the company continues to acquire new entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, cash management, and fixed assets.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Manage external audits and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
• Leverage NetSuite to streamline accounting processes, ensure accurate reporting, and support scalability.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the accounting function.
• Oversee the annual audit and prepare any supporting documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
• Public/Private experience is required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite required.
• Prior experience in hospitality, restaurant groups, or multi-location businesses strongly preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
