Coda Search is partnering with a cutting-edge quantitative investment firm headquartered in NYC. Known for blending data science, engineering, and finance, the company is a leader in quantitative investing, managing billions in assets, and is known for its innovative, collaborative culture.

As they continue to grow, they’re looking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to support their U.S. and global payroll operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and supporting key cross-functional initiatives. You’d be working closely with internal teams and gaining exposure to a dynamic, high-performing organization at the intersection of tech and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the bi-weekly payroll process for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Leverage advanced payroll systems such as Workday to manage payroll functions, handle deductions, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct thorough audits to verify payroll accuracy and promptly address any discrepancies.
  • Manage employee timesheets, handle special requests, and ensure adherence to company policies and labor laws.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company guidelines, making necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team to manage compliance issues, optimize 401K contributions, and oversee other payroll-related benefits.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues, fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative workflows to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required (required)
  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience,
  • Hands-on experience with Workday (required)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
