We're working with a High-Growth Consumer Services Firm. They are seeking a Strategically driven professional within their Finance team to lead and manage a large 25+ person team across North America. Reporting to CFO, this professional will be the Head of Accounting working with Finance and M&A Teams along with Executives throughout their businesses. Will be responsible for all Accounting Transactions handling Internal Financial Reporting, Due Diligence, Tax, Audit, and Financial Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all Accounting Transactions relating to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting for firm
  • Oversees and manages annual audit process
  • Assist with accounting due diligence process for M&A Activity and integration of acquired entities into the consolidated group.
  • Support the CFO and Finance Team leaders for all internal control related initiatives to ensure auditors can rely on controls-based audit engagements.
  • Manages a staff of 25+ across Controllers, Managers, Seniors, Staff including multiple locations across US and Canada
  • Internal reporting: produce periodic management financial and key metric reports to ensure timely and accurate financial information is available to decisionmakers.
  • North America Consolidations, Internal Reporting, and Intercompany activity: ensure that all intercompany activity and positions are documented and accurately tracked and eliminated for internal financial reporting purposes.
  • Ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial results, and undertakes other special projects as requested by the CFO
  • Monitors and reviews all accounting processes to ensure controls are in place to prevent, detect and correct errors or potential fraud.
  • Promotes a team environment and provides work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development and training.
  • Maintain effective accounting policies that are consistent with the current body of accounting literature/pronouncements.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise for current and future transactions.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must
  • CPA is a must
  • 18 - 25 years accounting experience out of Public Accounting and Manufacturing, Service Companies
  • Very Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Reporting Systems and Revenue Recognition is needed
